Dear Martine, The other day, as I was driving past your salon, I was reminded how many years I have known you, your salon and have appreciated your services. I used to drive down Green Street, better known by the locals as Miracle Mile, on my way to work for 23 years. When the "little house" was being renovated I was really curious what was going to happen. What was going to go in there. When it was being painted and the sign "Renaissance House of Beauty" went up, I was really intrigued. The day when my curiosity got the better of me. the little house was still surrounded by trucks and lots of banging. I probably was not supposed to go onside but did anyway. The noise came from the carpenters and cabinet makers who were hanging gorgeous, custom made cabinets on the walls. I am very partial to Swedish furniture the birch wood, the clean lines, but most of all the light that is allowed to flow in with that particular style. At your salon everything is arranged in a clear, open, clean, light, line. This is not a hair salon, this is an experience. "Renaissance House of Beauty" is not a salon you visit for a haircut or a dye; it is a place where you participate in an experience. Everybody is at the same time a participant and a joiner in an experience. You can enjoy your facial while another praises a successful haircut. Because there are small rooms and the large open space of the general salon, there are private and joined experiences, yet everybody partakes in the joy of the other; everybody steps into the beautiful light that emanates the general portion of the salon" Thank you Martine having created such a special place. After these many years I am amazed your salon is still beautiful, clean, and as light as it was on day one. When I come in now, I still let myself go to the experience of being pampered and taken care of.

I have been going to Renaissance for I don't know how many years (probably at least 7) to get my eyebrows waxed. I saw Victoria up until this past winter when she moved on to another salon. I was going to move along with her, but I had several prepaid appointments left and I couldn't just walk away from the money. So, I decided to give Colette a try. She does such a great job that I decided to stay with her even after my prepaid's were all gone. I do miss Victoria but Collette is just as good and just as friendly. Whenever I go into the salon, the receptionist always recognizes me (as does Collette). The prepaid packages are a great find 20% off if you prepay for 6 sessions. I love a good bargain and it makes it that much easier to get in and out quickly when you've already paid in advance, I haven't used any of their other services (my hairstylist is like a sister to me) and I wish that they still had massages available so I could try them out, but with the services that I have used, I have always been very satisfied. I sent my mother to Victoria and then to Collette and she has also been very pleased with the service and results.

Went to RHOB at the last minute ... booked my appointment on line through the web site, a feature I *love*. My appointment was with Tori for a basic bleach touch up on my roots. My hair looks gorgeous, it was in great condition when Tori was done, the salon environment was clean, welcoming (Martine had a cup of coffee in my hand about 30 seconds in the door), organized ....over all this place made a great impression on me and before I left I booked another appointment with Tori for my next touch up and a hair cut. Great place .. .loved it.

I moved to the area about 5 years ago. I tried a couple of other salons, but nothing measured up, after I went to Renaissance I have never gone to any place else in over 4 years. Tori does my color and cut, she is the best colorist ever. Everyone is nice and they always try to work with me on my schedule. I can't think of anything bad to say. They are the best and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Martine has been cutting my hair since high school and is one of the only people who gets it right. I have cowlicks, curls, and very thick hair and she is the only one who can cut it without it looking like a hurricane hit it. When I moved to San Diego and the Central Valley, I tried to go to other hair stylists and was seriously disappointed. I ended up scheduling appointments with Martine whenever I returned to the Bay Area. As for the rest of the salon -- it is quite possibly the most relaxing place in the world. Get your hot tea and prepared to be pampered. I love Renaissance.

I have been going to Renaissance for 7 years, almost the entire time I have lived here, and have had great experiences. Victoria is the stylist that both my daughter and I use and she is wonderful. Martine, the owner, is always pleasant and acknowledges your presence even if she is with a client. The receptionists are great and always helpful. Everyone at Renaissance are nice to be around and treat you well. The atmosphere is pleasant and soothing, you always feel relaxed while you're there and when you leave. Renaissance is the only salon I ever recommend to others. Keep up the great work.

My husband and I have been clients at Renaissance Salon for about 6 years. We have been very happy with our experiences there. The salon is beautifully calm and clean; the staff are welcoming and friendly. I am always pleased with the hair styling and cutting done by Martine. Among the many advantages is the choice clients may make to purchase a series at a reduced cost. That helps very much in this economy! I would recommend this salon without any hesitation to anyone interested in professional, quality care.

Renaissance is everything I could possibly want in a salon. I've been going there for almost ten years and can honestly say that I look and feel better (and even healthier) than ever! I have a lot of long hair, but that doesn't intimidate Martine. From the time I leave the salon, right up to my next visit, I get compliments on my hair every single day. Renaissance is also on the cutting edge in being the first salon in Marin to achieve green certification. They have extremely high standards with regard to products used, cleanliness, punctuality, and professionalism without being snobbish. I also love the monthly, online newsletters and convenient online appointment booking feature they provide. What more could I ask for? Thank you Renaissance for fulfilling all of my salon needs! Renaissance is a wonderful respite from all the tension of daily life. The staff is wonderful and I love Tori, she is an excellent beautician.

This is the only salon where you feel all of the day's troubles just fall off your shoulders once you step in. I've been going to Renaissance for many years and have loved the customer service I've received!
